One of the big benefits of a tank in our main living area is I check it out pretty much whenever I walk around my house. Love seeing all the polyps of my Acros extending at night.
Are they responding to your feeding schedule or do you feed corals?

Its one of the first things I do in the evening :)
you feed your corals?
nothing much when the light is out for my tank :loudly-crying-face: coral close up and fish sleeping in the rocks.
I think one of my issues is squabbling over sleeping spots…I’ve long noticed fish use the same spots routinely

I have a LED flashlight that has a red mode. I use it exclusively for checking things at night. The critters will usually stay out and about when it comes on. Neat to watch the War Coral with it's sweepers out and see the real number of heads on my frog spawn.

Whenever.
I have killed more than one fish by waking them up at night and having them being startled out of their sleep and making them jump out of the reef tank. The fish tank they just bump their heads, so I try to minimize disturbances when I do this.
