Oh!!!! I see! I thought it was a video game thing! Yep, that counts. I've got a Yamaha and a Peavey Bass. I wouldn't wish that Peavey on my worst enemy. But my Yamaha is nice. Has a fast neck.
I've got a Fender PJ.

In salt water the hooks just dissolves in a week or two. Fish hooks never last too long.
That actually is an ole wives tale... Many fishing hooks (saltwater) are stainless or coated. Even if it wasn’t, it can take more than just a couple weeks to dissolve. On a recent episode of Polo reef, that dissected a Anthius that died and it had a small hook and monofilament in its stomach. They had that fish for a couple months.

There are non stainless steel hooks and the expensive stainless steel hooks. You won’t get stainless unless you purposely look for and buy it. If nothing else the price is a bit different.
Notice that lady has a stainless steel dive suit and gloves.
Like I said, I value my arms and fingers. Plus get that shark 4-5 foot into the boat to get the hook off will kill it because we would have to gaff to lift it.
Non stainless steel rust quickly in salt waster is not a wives tale. It is common senses.

thanks, most of my striper fishing is done at night, so i don't have many pics of stripers at all.

*looks over both shoulders and whispers* those northern puffers are pretty plentiful in new jersey during the summer, and they're delicious.

Pretty birds! So two members with conures have popped in over the past 24 hours. Love that!

Interesting. Do they have the toxin that some other puffers have, and is there a special method of preparation?

My name is Dawn and after looking at these pics, I must be really old, LOL. The first pic is what I looked like 25 years ago. The 2nd pic is me and hubby, Dave enjoying a new retirement hobby, volunteering at a youth ranch.

OK, this is me 55 years ago. But I look exactly the same today...Hair and all. And I am still married to her after 51 years. :D

That is too cool for school. I'll try to dig up a pic when I was 17. I think I know where that is. I met my wife when we were 23. We have the EXACT same birthday. I'm 10 hours older. We're 60 now. It's been a great ride man. There's something to be said for LONG term, lifetime relationships.

I would do it in a heartbeat. We could change the words to songs already written or come up with our own plus do cover songs that have something fishy/watery going on. We could do virtual practices somehow.
What would we need to do that? I don't have a laptop and will probably need one for this. Also, would I need a 4 or 8 track? This is a new thing for me. My voice is NOT suited for Classic Rock, which is all that I've played. I'm at about 50% of my best, as I've not practiced seriously in years. But I could get back to 75% in a few months. 100% in 6 months. I ain't the best in the world but I can keep a beat. My voice is best suited for easy listening and folk. I'm a baritone-bass. Think Gordon Lightfoot and Neil Diamond. I JUST tried to sing Country Roads today and hit the high note twice out of four instances. So that's the very top of my range. I've got a semi-reasonable falsetto and can harmonize above better than below the melody. But my 60 year old voice is no where near what it was in my 30s.

Well Paul, you are doing better than me because I don't even look the same as I did 25 years ago. Oh well, I am thankful to be here just the same!

Yes, they are my sons, and I have NO idea how they do it!!! It would KILL me.
My wife lost her Dad to Cancer when she was 5, back in '69. The oldest of 8 was 17. Her Ma raised them on her own from there. I consider her to be a Godess. She's 90 now and going strong. No physical issues. No mental issues. I've been calling her Mom for going on 40 years now. With Thanksgiving, I cook pretty much everything dinner wise. She cooks just about as much on the dessert and sides side. An amazing woman.
