Wausau here as well. Best local store is Ace Hardware across from Target. If you see a guy with a long beard named Matt, he is pretty knowledgeable.

I was so broke from buying corals when I lived close to this place. 8 years ago pricing was much better as well lol

A ton of the LFS have closed in fact one became a micro brew. They never painted the wall and you can still see the stripe from the fish store on it. It has fish painted on it.

Wyoming had some interesting hardware store combos but I can honestly say I have never heard of one that serves as an LFS!!
