Wyoming had some interesting hardware store combos but I can honestly say I have never heard of one that serves as an LFS!!

A small town I live in (in California) the hardware store was also the grocery store. In the middle of the store it changed to hardware.

Wyoming had some like that. Or they had a gun store/liquor store in them as well. All kinds of old ball stuff in some of the small towns I visited but they kind of had to be.

Gas station was also a bar and grill in that town. Pretty good food. The problem was you had to drive 40 minutes to get to a bigger town that had everything. We had to drive down this mountain every day which became a pain.

Seems I'm one of the few (only?) people, at least in this thread, from Milwaukee.
I know there's other's out there so I have a question. Anyone know if Best Fish on MLK rents PAR meters? I'm still cycling so have lots of time but if I can rent (or buy at a decent price) one from Best Fish it would be easier than mailing it back and forth from BRS (and I'm still building up my relationship with them).

I'm sure I'll find some reason to stop in over the next few days but I figured someone might know off the top of their head.

Eau Claire area reefer here, western wisconsin is kinda quiet for us salty folk.
At least your sorta kinda close to La Crosse and the Twin Cities. I'm lucky that Milwaukee is relatively large. WI. We have a good handful of LFS that are either saltwater specific or at least specific to the hobby (as opposed to places like petco). In fact, we have a good handful of Local ____ Stores for whatever hobby you're in. When I got into welding, for example, I was surprised to find local welding stores practically everywhere.
And if you can't find what you need in MKE, Waukesha is just next door.

Ironically minnesota is incredibly reef active in the Minneapolis area. It's a 2 hour drive but worth it once in a while.
