I started noticing white blocked on my dottyback he’s active and eating. Anyone have an idea of what’s going on?

Really need pics under white light intensity. Its near impossible to see a purple fish in heavy blue light,.
Expanding pic, preliminarily, it looks like scraping/scratches in which this fish will quickly dart into rocks when spooked.

Confirmed scratches but on opposite side I do see mucus cones while associated with skin irritation may also be mucus cones associated with ich. personally, I would quarantine this fish and treat with coppersafe at 2.0-2.25 for 30 days and and also have seachem Kanaplex on hand should the scrape become red/sore. If so, seachem Kanaplex can be safely added with coppersafe

Is it 2.0 to 2.25 or 2.25 to 2.5 that you recommend for coppersafe? You said this in a different thread

“Coppersafe at 2.25-2.5 monitored by a reliable test kit for copper is recommended”

TBH, it looks more like flukes than velvet.
How would I be able to tell the difference? I do not have a quarantine or hospital tank I live in a tiny apartment and have no room for an additional tank unfortunately. Is there a treatment I can use that won’t effect my coral or shrimps?

Thanks!

Ich and velvet looks like dandruff. Skin flukes appear larger like the pic.

Prazipro is reef safe for fluke treatment as long as you follow instruction and aerate the water more. No UV, no chem filter, remove skimmer cap but keep skimmer running.

Not velvet, I’m trying to rule out flukes over a simple injury…

I was gonna ask or comment on that. Fish like this just doesn’t get hurt by running into things IME, even when it’s dark for us.

Right, that’s why I asked what other fish are in with it, injuries are almost always from other fish or being constrained.
