Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and pretty new to the salt water hobby ( been keeping fresh water fish for years) I was looking at my torch coral today and noticed these white spots or egg like things and was wondering what they could be ? Any help is appreciated
Looks like euphyllia eating flatworm eggs, I'd dip the coral and scrape the eggs off outside the tank and closely observe it for the next few weeks. Continue to dip it at 1-2 week intervals for the next 2-3 months. Keep an eye out for anything that falls off. Specifically the flatworms themselves
Definitely flatworm eggs. Dip and scrape the eggs. I’d also inspect your other euphyllia and dip them too. The flatworms eat the flesh band until there’s nothing left killing the coral
Agree on flatworm eggs and look for flatworms and the eggs will have to be physically scraped off as not dip will affect the eggs. Place frag in a container of tank water and clear them
