Hi there. I just got my first pair of clowns. These are the first saltwater fish I have ever owned. I added them to my tank after drip acclimating them. My local fish store quarantines all their fish.

I added them to the tank a few hours ago. Tank is newly cycled, dry rock, and sand is about a 1/2 live and 1/2 dry.

What should I expect from them? What kind of behavior is normal and what should I keep an eye out for? Right now they’re swimming around. The tank is 90g and is more than double what they were held in at my LFS.

I’m super excited to have my first saltwater fish and I want to keep them healthy and happy for the rest of their lives.

might take a day or 2 for them to get comfortable with the new layout. they may stay close to each other for ever. Before long they will come towards you when you come close to the tank, they will associate you with food
Oh yeah. They’re definitely exploring the tank and trying to learn their new surroundings. They’ve been sticking close to each other a lot. When they drift apart, one of them always swims ASAP back to the other.

They’re very active so I consider that a good sign. My LFS advised me to feed them tomorrow. I have some mysis shrimp frozen in spiratulina.

Looks like maybe you have two small clowns but that doesn't mean they are a pair. Time will tell if you end up with a pair or a single female. The fun begins when they decide who is going to transition to female. Many people just think they add two little clowns and have a pair. Often it works but often it doesn't. Search for threads like why are my clownfish fighting all of a sudden?

with just those 2, it wont take much to feed them, if you feel it was not adequate, feed again 4 to 5 hours later. kill your wavemakers and sump if needed (would be best)

They were the only ones in their tank at my LFS when they lived there and were together for at least a couple months. They may be paired, they may not be, but I think the odds that they are paired was raised by their environment.
