Our tanks will go through periods of being nice and clean. Next thing you know, they are struck with an algae outbreak. I am wondering what nuisance algae is impacting your tank right now, and what are you doing about it? Photo Credit: @kpoj9

My DT is clean and has been clean for over a year now but the sump and fuge is always plagued by GHA

That might not seem like a big deal but it gets crazy and requires constant pruning back and gets all over the chaeto

My belief is that it will eventually spread into the DT if not controlled so I'm always on top of it

Exactly, right at this moment..... None I'm happy to say.
Look at my last couple pages of my tank thread and you'll see it's been an uphill battle.

I had green film algae on the glass and rocks for a bit, seems to have phased out as coralline started to grow. Not sure what this stuff is yet but it's taken up most of my glass. Just been monitoring the nutrients a bit more than usual and also got some more CUC on the way.

Right now?

The brown green that sticks to the glass and needs to be razored off. Pre coralline algae

But it's not a plague, it's just normal upkeep
