I have a 40oz tank that has a 5w 22k spectrum light on it. I don’t know the brand since it came with my tank done by PNW custom. Light is bright and works great for my tank!

thanks everyone. been a while sence I look at nano lighting. was curious to see if anything new was on the market i should know about.

I am either going to go huge ( 500-1000 gal) or many nanos in the hopefully soon man cave fish room basement build out.

so just dreaming and chilling on my relaxing day off. :)

Soft Corals/FOWLR: 24” x 24”
Mixed Reef: 18” x 18”
SPS: 12” x 12”

from there website.

Kessil A80 is decent. Kind of weak for the price. AI Blade 12" would rock it as well and be more than enough for any coral

I use the photon 48 v2 on my 75g and love it. Prior to that I had a photon 48v1 which was very good considering the timeframe that it was released and current

I run the pico on my pico, and it does a great job with softies and lps.

I run blue channel on 30% and white channel on 10%. Soooo plenty of room to ramp up
I have a short build thread here if you want to take a look and see some pics under various spectrums items offers but I do run blue heavy

I don’t know if this could do 24x24. Maybe. For low light things like blasto in the outskirts. But 12x12 sps. Yea no doubt. 18x18 mixed? Yea I think it could do that with sps more towards the middle

Out of those two options, I would go the “one big tank” route. Maintaining “many” nanos and keeping them stable I think will need more attention than the one big tank. One tank, one ATO, as an example. Plus with a big tank, you’ve got way more livestock options. Just my 2 cents. As far as lighting, I’ve got a 7 gallon with an AI prime over it, but I mainly chose that so that it matched my 20gal.

you can buy them now separately, I believe SAQ has them in stock just lookup PNW.

Depending on the size, ive used a 12" Ai Blade Grow but it was quite over powered. I have used Zetlight 3w on a 1 gal pico. I also have an off brand similar looking Reefbreeder pico light that was even OK on my 10 gal.
