The only pairs I have are clownfish, pajama cardinals, and blue reef chromis. Assorted snails Nasarius, trochus, turbo, bumblebee, and hermits.

That my first thought after see the livestock list.
Ya, same none of the cuc would lay eggs like that and trochus broadcast spawn. Do lack of light it may have lost its original color.

Could be the Cardinal. Have seen live babies in tank before. Mandarins release eggs near the surface of the tank around evening. They float on the surface only to discover the overflow. Not that you have a Mandarins but not familiar with Cardinal eggs. Sorry.

Could be some kind of algae too. Never saw anything like it in my tank before.

Do you have any unpaired fish or inverts in the tank?

Those definitely look like large eggs of some variety to me, but they're much too large for anything you've got listed.

On the off chance it's a macroalgae, it should have some sort of stem holding the balls in place - eggs would be adhered together, but not on a stem.
