My clownfish laid eggs under my bubbletip anemone on a flat piece of the rock. I was not expecting this. The eggs look elongated with little black dots on the top.
I have know idea what to do next! What will happen if I just leave the eggs alone?
Thanks

They'll hatch, and your other fish will eat them, some will get trapped in your filteration.
Raising clownfish fry is a somewhat difficult task as they only eat live rotifers, which need their own separate system to be grown and bred.
Unless you have a whole setup to do so, they'll hatch and get eaten or die off.

I feel like what happens to the fry really depends on what you do. I read a book on marine fish breeding once, but like @Crabs McJones said, you want another system to put them in where they have food, and can't be eaten or killed in the filtration.:worried-face:

i wouldnt worry about their first clutch of eggs, it usually takes a few before they lay a large batch. If you want to start raising clownfish it is a bit time consuming and you wont get out the money that you put in, but it is a nice little experiment and fun to see em grow up.
Mostly culturing phyto and rotifers, hatching brineshrimp, and needing a separate tank and sponge filter for the fry.

gave this a quick skim and appears to have most of the info you need for raising any type of clownfish
