What is this spreading growth killing one of my Zoa frags?

Sorry I couldn't provide a better photo, but there is something taking over one of my Zoa colonies. It appears to be shiny and silvery? Could it be bubble algae? Any help is greatly appreciated. I can post water conditions if you think it'll help.

yes, that appears to be bubble algae, and an aiptasia in the midst of the bubbles.
