Do you guys know what is this? I havent been able to find any information on that stick coming out of my GSP. I tried breaking it off but it grows back.

Thanks in advance
Did you ever find out?

I think I have the same and it's spreading throughout the tank. Trying to identify myself.

The thin stalks standing on the end of the rock?

The coral is a galaxea.

May or may not be related but soon after I noticed these in my tank I had a bryopsis outbreak, the bryopsis was dealt with but I still see a few stalks of this algae in a zoa colony. They grow ridiculously slow and I haven't seen them spread.

I haven't noticed any bryopsis in the tank, and in my case these are spreading.

I initially thought it may be bryopsis, but ruled it out since they don't have the fern like structure.

Hopefully someone identifies for us looking.

Can you identify this hitchhiker for me? I recently got it off a zoa rock before putting it in my tank.

Brand new to saltwater tanks. My apologies for probably not using the right terms.

Hello, I purchased a small cluster of Zoa yesterday. There are a couple of "extra's".

First is at around the bottom of the frag disk in the photo. It's a tube around a half inch long, and the plant that emerges looks like a round fan. It is white and tan, and pokes back into it's tube when it senses motion near it.

Second is in the middle of the zoas, and is more starfish shaped.

Thanks,
Dan

Does anyone know what the white/purple spikey things are? They showed up overnight. The frag is over a year old now and have never had them before. No new additions to the tank in the last 6 months. Please excuse the green HA. I’m fighting a losing battle.

I went to the dungeon this morning during the ramp up period and noticed this on the glass. I believe it’s snail eggs? Just wondering if someone can id this for me and offer advice if needed. Thanks in advance!
