I am very new to having a salt water tank and I already am obsessed but there is still a lot to learn. When I first got my two clownfish I noticed this red dot near his gill. I figured it was normal and would heal itself (what do I know right?). I keep an eye on it but to me it looks redder than when I originally got him. Any suggestions on what this is?

That looks like the gill plate is infected. Take them out and quarantine them. I'd treat for bacterial infections and fungal infections to be safe. If they're still eating than they're not going to die but I'm sure you don't want that spreading to your other fish
