Hi I have a pair of clownfish that have appeared to be happy and healthy for over 5 months. They live in a 155 gallon with a royal gramma for now. They've always been big eaters, and I feed them only frozen brine and mysis. When I feed them with a turkey baster, they always go nuts. Usually biting the turkey baster.

Today, I tried feeding them in the morning and just now and they don't seem the least bit interested.

I've been trying to read various posts, but there are so many different opinions. Three things have happened recently that I would think are possible causes, but I guess you don't know what you don't know.

First, I tried to use purigen in a reactor and that was the biggest mistake I have made so far. It was snowing purigen in the tank for a while, and I am finally getting it under control. It doesn't look like they were eating it, but it is not obvious. Most things I've found said that it isn't toxic, but if they consumed a bunch I can't imagine it would be a good thing.

Second, I recently introduced a diamond goby to the tank. I usually QT, but my QT tank is currently occupied and the Goby had been doing well in the fish store that I bought him from. He's literally been in the tank for 4 days and I don't know if that is long enough to cause issues or not? The Goby himself is eating fine as well as the Gramma.

Third, on Tuesday my tank started to cloud up a bit. No idea what could have caused it. In fact I had never ever experienced that before even in many years of freshwater keeping. The LFS recommended using Clarity. I added a little less than a full dose and the next day the water was clear again.

Anyway, I know that isn't a whole lot to go on. My salinity is 1.025, which is typical. Nitrates are around 5 and phosphates are about 0.01 as of last week.

What should I be looking out for? Currently there is no coral in the tank, but I am QT'ing some right now and wanted to put it in soon. I don't think I should just randomly medicate, but I'm unsure. I don't see any spots on the fish. Not sure i've ever seen them poop. Could this even be mating behavior, as they seem to be interested with one another.

Suggestions please!?

One other thing ... I found it odd that they both stopped eating at exactly the same time. It wasn't one then the other. They both just stopped today.

I would try some different foods. I would add pellets or flakes which are packed with vitamins, and reef frenzy, all fish love that stuff. Just for lack of any other idea.

Picture of the tank might generate some idea's, there's not much to go on

Well taking pictures of saltwater tanks through the glass is tougher than it looks. Reflections, etc.

They tend to always stay out of the moving water near one corner on the back of the tank

Sometimes one of them "lays" on the sand for a few seconds, then gets up and swims a bit. When it first did this a month or so ago, it seemed strange, but it still ate voraciously, and was active more often than not. I've seen others do this when the host, but maybe it is a sign of trouble?

Here is a video. Sorry for the poor quality.

I'm not sure if that helps, but if you need better picks or more picks of the tank just let me know. Anybody who has advice I'm all ears.

Thanks
