I recently got an Ai prime and I can't adjust the kelvins or the brightness, my sinularia leather is the only coral that seems to have been affected by it, Usually it is 3 times the size of what it currently looks like. It is shriveled looking and here are some before and after pictures of the leather:

They are finicky, but almost impossible to kill. I think it is probably just adjusting or shedding and will bounce back in a few days. Its still extending polyps so I wouldn’t worry too much.

Ok, but it's not extending its polyps anymore. I don't know if that changes anything, but thanks for the info it makes sense

I still wouldn’t worry too much. Give it a week or so. Unless the flesh starts to decay and you see slime and discoloration, it is just doing its thing. They are nearly indestructible in my experience.

ok, thank you so much, first leather coral and I love them already
I love mine also. They’ve been through a crash where I lost everything else and they pulled through somehow.

Here is my tank after the crash (2 year period of complete neglect, no water changes, no dosing, literally nothing but fish food added). It was a very successful 5 year old mixed-reef full of SPS and LPS before. The leathers made it through.

And here it is now…

Leathers will look bad for a couple of days every once in awhile to shed some mucus. As long as it doesn't turn black it's still good. Give it some time.

ok thank y'all so much and @Formulator, how did your tank crash?
I had a rare bone disease which required a hip replacement at age 31, then my daughter was born, and I had some mental health/addiction issues so I just stopped taking care of it. Like completely stopped doing anything. No water changes, no Alk/Ca/Mg dosing, no cleaning or filter media changes, skimmer was left overflowing. I had an ATO, but the resins went unchanged. My wife fed the fish, but that was all. It was like that for 2.5 years. Aiptasia took over first, followed by massive dino outbreak, then hair algae and cyano. Lost almost everything alive in there except for the leathers, my clown fish, an anthia (somehow), and a blue chromis. I just recently got myself healthy in December last year and completely rehabbed my tank.

Here is a photo before my period of neglect :

I am so so sorry to hear this, but on the bright side you are doing better and your tank is getting better.

I will be praying for you and your tank, The Lord can do amazing things
