Starting a new reef tank is an exhilarating journey, filled with the potential for creativity and discovery as you choose your setup and watch life begin to thrive. On the other hand, maintaining an established tank offers a deep sense of accomplishment, as you witness the growth of corals and the balance of the ecosystem you've nurtured over time. Each phase has its own unique rewards and challenges, making the experience of reef keeping continuously engaging.

I enjoy maintaining and trying to make better what I have.
I enjoy experimenting with different methods of reefing and seeing how much better a certain something might be, whatever it is I've been concentrating on this week.

They have a term for it. Multiple tank syndrome. I had it really bad! Now it's just bad. I ran 9 tanks at one time. All fresh water. Now I'm down to two salt and one fresh water. Soon to be one of each.
