Why not try a simple SPS? Like stylophora or a montipora cap.

Edit: Depending on your light intensity and mounting height, SPS up high usually.
I did try looking for a nice montipora but can’t find any that suit the tank colour scheme.

Bit of background the tank is for my young autistic son he enjoys the bright vibrant colours and seems to calm him

There are some rhodactis mushroom corals that can be so vibrant and striking. You could always add another candy cane of the same or different color pattern. It always looks good when you have a couple frags of a coral around the reef. It sounds like your son has excellent taste and loves a great color pop! Maybe look into trachyphyllia, and scolys! I think a few favia/war coral and a couple scolys would look great scattered around.

gorgonians on that top rock would be pretty cool
best to keep away from euphyllia and depending on what you get are semi easy going
or a nice duncan

One thing I would do is move your scape. Particularly that rock on the right, it looks like is almost touching the glass. You are going to make a rod for your own back there, as it’s going to be a nightmare to keep the glass clean.

How old is the tank now? It looks new? I would advise letting what you have grow a little before adding more.

Have a look at corals like Leptoseris, Lepastrea there’s a wide variety of easier to keep corals available. I’m sure if you ask nicely you’ll be gifted by locals. Many of my off cuts just end up in the wheelie bin.
