Same stuff, different color, more money.Good luck, Guss
I wouldn’t trust it
As to painting it, no suggestions
I would do over with new rock and use purple two part epoxy from Two Little Fishies
That's a known quantity, and care still needs to be taken when using it

i tried one of these colorants for a “all black” bottom of the ocean theme tank i had high hopes on building outNo clue if reef safe but marketed as safe for reef rock. Perhaps call them or contact the various dry rock suppliers selling purple rocks such as Marco and see what they use and if they sell that product. Those purple rocks in many reef tanks. Some going likely in my Grandson build.
Same company? Perhaps it sticks best to rougher surfaces such as rocks.i tried one of these colorants for a “all black” bottom of the ocean theme tank i had high hopes on building out
after a couple weeks it was coming off of the rocks and the color to begin with wasn’t very great unfortunately
I buy epoxy in the electrical department all the time. Used to use it for my scapes but now exclusively for mounting frags to plugs. Usually it's green with a white center but the last one I bought is gray with a white center.I'm not using it
You may
Maybe, take one for the team, tell us how it goes. I'm honestly curious about it's real cost with a tank full of corals
As all the epoxies do. I haven't found one yet that actually sticks and bonds 2 rocks together. And yes, I have used the actual one sold for a reef tank. Still didn't work, still same quality as the electrical grade.i tried one of these colorants for a “all black” bottom of the ocean theme tank i had high hopes on building out

You speak hard truths. LolIt could also be coral which would be great, but it is going to be something. Sorry I'm a realist
