What’s your favorite wrasse?

The Dusky Wrasse (Halichoeres annularis) is underrated. Not hard to find, but you don't see too many people mention them.

Halichoeres annularis has been reclassified to Halichoeres marginatus. But yes it is a magnificent wrasse that pictures do no justice to.

Gonna get this one next week, maybe with a foxface and butterfly. There's one that's been at my lfs for ages and it'll probably do good work on the sandbed.

H. Melanurus or H. chrysus.

Beautiful. Reasonably peaceful. Eats pests. Cheap. Readily available. Big enough to be showy in a medium sized tank.

Does anyone like the whipfun wrasse?

I saw it at the LFS and almost got it lol.

I think whip fins and blue throats might be my favorite wrasses.

Six line I have is defective, doesn’t eat colonial feather dusters, snails or anything I guess. I am fine with that and don’t plan on adding another until the duster reach plague proportions. Harlequin was beautiful but was getting too big for a 150 and eat anything that fit in its mouth.
The yellow cheek my wife caught is beautiful, pudding wife isn’t bad either

My favorites are either the earmuff (Halichoeres melasmapomus) or bird wrasse (Gomphosus varius), hopefully I can get them some day. My tanks too small for a bird though.

I got a dusky wrasse from dr reef about 6 months ago. Really cool fish and very peaceful.

Golden Rhomboids. But rose-banded fairies and pintails are close runner-ups.
