Well today has been a very sad day this morning I found my longnose hawkfish dried up on the floor I had him 1 month and he was doing extremely well he was my first saltwater fish. The guy I bought my tank from had made a semi cover using egg crate it was covered on the sides and in the middle it was a square cutout right under the light.

I was especially upset as he was just fine when I checked him around 11 last night he was a really cool fish. I do plan on making a screen tonight or tomorrow and getting another hawkfish longnose or flame?

That sucks man. I always tell people it's like playing mini golf, every once in awhile you get a hole in one. Unfortunately when that happens your fish ends up dead. I don't know which I like better between the two. The store has one of each right now and they have been here for a minute, but really can't decide which I like better.

Got some nice orange/red/pink/yellow record florida that came in yesterday. Waiting for some fish today sometime, like flasher wrasses and large yellow belly hippo tangs. Sunday/Monday the store is getting a bunch of coral and like 5 boxes of fish/shrimp, so that is going to be fantastic!

That sucks :(

I had a flame hawk jump too, my favorite fish. I had been putting off making a screen so I was mad at myself for that.

I don’t know about you guys but if the fish wants to jump so be it
If it makes it back to the local fish store
So be it.
I will not put a screen on the top of the tank between salt creep and overall beauty of a tank that’s screen less I will not do it !

You'll regret the 6 line they are my #1 ****** fish. Worse than damsels. Yellow Coris are nice and don't get to aggressive.

Generally most of that type of wrasse are agressive, but there are several that are quite docile, particularily if they are the only one in the tank. Most fairy and flasher wrasses are great reef fish that have good personalities - they can get spunkier when conspecifics are present though.
