No skimmer, I'm using the sump as a refugium. I have chaeto and red ogo in there. Still trying to get better flow through the 2nd chamber, but it seems to be growing well as is.
Pretty sure the dinos are coming back so I ordered a uv sterilizer to run so hopefully this time it doesn't get out of hand.
In other bad news, I got sucked into a live sale and my order that was supposed to be delayed got shipped out today. So now tomorrow I have some new corals being delivered.
Lol, ok fine I'm very weak and the RFA's caught my eye.
I really wanted to wait on the shipping because they said there would be a new BTA listed soon. I can't decide on the color I want so I thought if I liked it I could save on shipping by adding to this order.
Probably better off now since dinos are coming back. Hopefully this uv sterilizer will help get rid of it once and for all this time.
Yeah I did 7 days before the transfer to new tank. I was dosing peroxide at night and microbacter7 during the day. I changed all filters out daily and manual removal.
Added some new cuc, and a couple bottles of pods, and it feels like they're eating the algae. I'm hopeful it's just green hair algae and not dino. I haven't seen the bubbles in it so I'm kinda hopeful.
Here's a snap of the fuge.
Still reading 0 nitrate/phos so I may raise the phos I'm adding
I bumped up my cuc with a smallish order from reefcleaners and the algae is mostly gone now. I'd say about 2/3 of the rock has been cleaned off by the snails. I'll do some manual removal of the long hairs soon, if they don't eat it all.
Im going to try to blow the few pieces of sand up and catch with a net too.
Haven't cleaned up the sand yet but I added a rbta that seems to be doing well so far!
Here's a couple pic updates. I think I'm going to move my RFA's to the cave the boat is in so they are all together and good visibility.
I'm not worried about the sixline anymore, he's always on the move and right next to the clowns every feeding time!
Quick update, my smallest rfa decided to go on a walkabout, and look where it ended up! Right where I was going to move it lol. Now I just need to move the other 2 and I'll be happy.
I picked up a handful of new zoa's that are all doing well also. My BTA seems quite happy and healthy as well.
Chaeto is growing like crazy, I need to figure out how/when to start trimming it out.
