So at the beginning I mentioned I was going to run a ATS. In searching for other options I decided I can give the PAX a try. Already being a big fan of fuge I figured it wasn’t that far off. I had always had my eye on these reactors.

Beautiful piece of equipment

So we had two packages arrive. One is the Current USA Serene background light. So far I love them and I’m so happy I went no background as this will allow me to provide another look of the tank.

I have the same tank with the background removed. I'm interested in how you setup the background lighting, is it mounted on the cabinet? Did you install the background film, it is it required? Thanks!

Hello, I used the suction cups for now but will be using the hard mounts that go on the stand itself. I opted to not use the frost film they provided.

Aaahh, the Bashsea black box , I have the SS 36 on my reef and the SS 30 on my fresh tank. The 7” mesh socks are a breeze , just rub ,rinse ,replace . I don’t miss felt. Ever consider their Twisted Skimmer or Bio Reactor (fluidized Kaldness) ?

Once you are happy with the base an have it as close to level as possible you can now move on to assessing the rest. Be sure to tighten the nits for the leveling legs.

Before adding the side panels be sure you are happy with the LEVEL of the stand. Once the sides come on it becomes hard to remove the base.

YAY!!!!!

It appears that my side panels are drilled wrong. Did you have any issues with this. I’m pretty sure everything only goes together one way.
