was debating between this and the red sea 950 . . . but it did not take me a long time on hear to see red sea was a no go. so are their any other options for a 150-200 gallon peninsula tank? that are not custom or a 6 month turn around?

would perfer closer to 200 gallon hence why i wanted the 950 but will not risk it

Recently was in a similar market but a foot shorter. Ended up with the Waterbox 6025 and have been happy so far.

The only other real alternative I could find aside from custom was Redsea, SCA and Innovative Marine. Other great stock manufacturers out there...but none at the larger size and/or peninsula format.

Redsea - well you know.
SCA - Tank only for the most part so you would need to procure a stand, sump, etc. separately. Decent tanks for a decent price...but they recently did a price increase and reduced their options. I don't think they have what you are looking for anymore but worth a check.
Innovative Marine - Makes great tanks and the stands from what I have read are very nice. But they don't really stock their larger tanks and the lead time was like 6 months. A deal breaker for me, and a deal breaker for you it sounds like.

i think SCA is out of business also
Not out of business but merged with another company under the name of Empire USA that also sells billiard tables...apparently they have been owned by the same for a long time but just recently merged into the same marketplace.

was thinking waterbox custom but fast and quality as an option. was wondering what the express fee for there builds is i can wait 5 weeks but 6 months (for IM) is a long time.

Well their website implies like a 2-4 week lead time just to get your tank going much less delivered.

I imagine it comes down to where they build them. Their standard tanks are all built in China. If their custom tanks are too...which you would have to assume, it takes nearly a month just to ship them. Air freight would be cost prohibitive.

Would be shocked if they weren't at least 3 months...worth an ask though. I've never known anyone to go custom through them.
