Ok folks just wondering how often do you do a water change, how much do you change, how has it affected your parameters.

I religiously change 8 gallons every 10-14 days. I have a 30 gallon tank and a 15 gallon sump. All my paramaters were fine except for nitrates were 10 and are now 0-2. No algae on glass. Decreased green hair algae on sand too. I am a believer!!

i noticed while doing 2-3 large water changed a week the last 2 months that things perked back up realitively quickly and items i shoulda lost i did not.. then i read the thread on R2R here https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/reef-aquarium-discussion/134613-water-change-day.html .. so thought hmm i could handle this.. i had intention of doing them daily but as it turns out doing them every other day. i am taking out the following from each tank .. 120 = 10, 93= 10, zoa =3. 15 = 1, and bully =3.. i am keeping a database of the tanks, what i do when and what i add when.. so we shall see how it all turns out over time

I have a 105 gallon. I do 5 gallons every other day. It's easy instead of huge water changes. It keeps my params spot on. And I don't dose anything. Since I've been doin this the few corals I have in my new tank have thrived more than ever. I used to do bigger water changes every two weeks in my last tank. I've seen incredible improvements with this tank.

hmm i always thought that if you did the changes every other wk or so you needed to do like 25% or more. how does the 10 gallon work for you?

i have been doing the small water changes every other day.. my opinion is this, it is faster and easier for me to handle, all my coral is way happier and showy as well as with my fish..
