Best pic I could get this thing was FAST, and Scary! Right at the bottom of the stair on the wall in your face when you went down and of course my wife was first to see it, and freak out when I ddin't run to get a shoe but my camera LOL

Makes me twitch just looking at it!

It is called a house centipede, my brothers old rent house were infested with these guys. He wasnt to happy. After a quick parameter spray and a little dusting in the attic they ceased to exist much longer.

I got a call from a neighbor one time who said he had these weird alien bugs in his unfinished basement. I went over to spray it and he had hundreds of these guys crawling all over the place.

They are called prarie mole crickets and do look very nasty up close. Thyte generally reach a length of 2-3 inches.

Those house centipedes are gross, we had a few around here a few summers ago that would come out at night along the base of the house......Gives me the willies just thinking about it. I hate bugs outside of ants, lady bugs, Lightning bugs, bees, sowbugs. Anything more then that give me the creeps....

Yeah we haven't seen them since that one, and to be honest ANTS are my least fav! BUT that MOle thing is definantly creepy!

I sleep well thou at night with all these little bug flying and crawling around. I have this little guy to protect me lol

I got a call one day for a resident with one of these she sucked up in a vaccum cleaner. I had to pull it out of the tube that leads into cannister area. She vaccumed unde the couch and heard a thumping noise coming from the vaccum. It was about 6"long.
