So mixed up my microbacter 7 with my vibrant bottle and dosed the whole thing during a transfer to my new tank. Should i be worried?

It's been 12 hours and everything is still alive.

I have no more salt left so I couldn't even do a water change.

I will note 1 change I saw was my flatworms are gone.

If you have followed the threads about Vibrant here, you would know that Vibrant is really an algicide, not the bacterial product they claim to be. Tests have been done and the makers of Vibrant said they would verify with their own tests and provide the results. It has been a very long time since that was promised, and Vibrant was kicked off of R2R as a sponsor.

Based on that information, you may want to start a very large water change or two.

Its going to depend on what livestock you have, since a water change is out of the question, I suggest running as much carbon as you can. Some fish are more sensitive to algaecides than others. I would imagine at that kind of dose you will lose all corals if you have any, no chance their zoox can survive that kind of concentration. You will also probably lose your inverts, as they are sensitive to chemicals in general.

Thats what I feared, my turbo snail died, id imagine from the starvation of no algae or the vibrant.

My 2 cerith snails are alive but aren't moving, but I checked them and seem to be alive.

No signe of any flatworms.

Hermits are doing OK so far.

2 clownfish are ok so far.

Blue damsel is ok so far.

No corals so that's that there.

I'm pretty positive the tests indicated that the algacide in vibrant is also a molluscicide so that may explain why your snails are dieing.

This is categorically false.

Probably lucky you don't have corals or much for sensitive livestock. It is certainly not something I would want in my tank at any dose. Tanks being devoid of algae isn't healthy anywho. I wouldn't waste $30 on another bottle.

I would put some carbon in if you got it.

Oh definitely not, my plan was to start this tank without using any of that stuff but I got too excited during the transfer and I guess I didn't pay attention

Additionally. Randy is not the top scientist on the world and just because he says it, doesn’t make anything fact. I use vibrant bi weekly along with microbacter 7

This has been proven the maker of vibrant is currently under investigation.
