With the recent announcement of ICP-Analysis going away we are left with a big hole with no US based ICP testing. I am aware there are a number of overseas options that offer US hubs for sending in samples. But turn around time can be upwards of two weeks. In addition they are expensive. Although ICP-Analysis had their limitations test results for me at least was received in 3-5 days. The only work around I have found is paying priority mail to ATK hub in California. This gets results in 8-10 days. But we are looking at 50 dollars per test run. Hopefully someone will see an opportunity and pick up
The service. ICP-Analysis will be missed.

I don’t think it’s a loss, but that just my opinion. There have been and still are better options.

And what makes you think they were inaccurate

They were thoroughly vetted and tested by many of us.

The owner got on here and argued with Randy over basic chemistry principles. He was wrong btw

He’s been caught numerous times making claims that are factually incorrect.

He had no clue ICP machines need to be properly vented with pure fresh air to run them properly

The list goes on and on

Reef Labs is in Tampa FL. I have used them and they have a pretty nice setup that can be exported to Excel
Claim 98% accuracy. Assuming that's valid then this for me would be a great option being I'm in south Florida. Turnaround would be the quickest solution for me.

I just looked at them. My issue is the whole purpose of sending sample in is a snap shot of all parameters to include Alkalinity, nitrate, and phosphate. This allows me to 1) compare to trident and trident NP or 2) Hanna. No US based company does that. ATK does and gives me a complete picture. The down side is it takes 10 days to two weeks.

I am in Palmetto and mailed it. Usually within a few days it was done. The last one I sent in he got processed in 3 days from receipt. They also have a tracker on their website to show where the sample is at. When I first met the owner, he had a shop in Bradenton called Reef Masters with his brother in law. He pushes/works with Reef Blueprint supplements.

@Randy Holmes-Farley

If you had to pick one, which would you "endorse"

OK to PM me.

Oceamo, based on knowing that they have the necessary knowledge to do such tests properly, use a number of techniques including icp-ms as well as others, and have posted some of their uncertainty data here.

Thank you, 67 euro is probably the priciest option out there; perhaps for a reson.

I second Fauna Marin for accuracy and consistency. But, I've seen several posts vaguely saying that you have to send your sample in Thursday or Friday to get the fastest result. Does anyone know anything about that?

I did send mine in near the end of the week wondering because I also heard that they send samples early week.
