Tonight when feeding all my fish in qt I see the yellow coris/canary wrasse looking bad!
Tattered fins
Whitish patches on side

Fish has been swimming mostly at surface of qt, very active, eats very well. This afternoon it kept swimming through air stone bubbles which I thought odd.

It’s been through ttm and prazipro. It’s one of my established fish.

Catching it was terrible and now has very faint red streak on side.

Once in it’s own qt, it looked fuzzy or sloughing. Bacterial infection?? Brook??? Now it doesn’t look fuzzy, skin looks normal. Not scratching, not breathing heavy, swimming normally now.

Help!!! 6F373265-4068-4D40-92C7-353927AE35F4.jpeg885EA654-3FAF-47A0-B2B1-A0F1D2E11D46.jpeg4EA186AD-16C7-476B-99C9-DC3C9E7DD7A8.jpegCC761E8B-2C5F-41CF-BC97-0A09C7B5B50A.jpeg437D7424-0C01-4ACE-A52E-509530DFEB68.jpeg

I agree that Metroplex is a must here. I doubt it's Brook, more likely bacterial or Uronema.
Plan I’m going to start within an hour.
Kanaplex
Furan2
Metroplex
This is a solid plan and covers both Uronema and a wide range of bacterial issues.

Ok, will do now. Thank you!

What does this mean for the other fish in qt?
Most fish did 30 days of cp. wrasses did ttm.
Then I put them together!

I’m thinking to treat the big qt with all the other fish as well with metro, kana, furan2... just to be safe. Good idea???

If this is Uronema any fish that shared water with this wrasse will need the Metro in the water and the food.

Now I’m afraid others in the big qt could get this. Can I treat them even though I’m not seeing trouble?

Absolutely! Treat them as they have it. Uronema is a tough one because typically by the time symptoms appear (sore) it unfortunately doesn’t end well for that fish.

I’d also feed them general cure or metro in their food with focus to keep the meds bound to the food for 14 days as well. Uronema is also an internal parasite— just in case uronema is at play as well.

I’m going to +1 to everything already said. I honestly think it looks more bacterial than uronema BUT the trifecta would be appropriate in either case, and feeding GC or metro in food for 14 days is a good idea anyway since wrasses are notorious for intestinal parasites.

Thank you.
Big skimmer is running in the large qt. Do I turn it off? I'd prefer to leave it on... can't find answer in threads.

I’d turn it off, or at least remove the cup, don’t want to skim out your medications... do you have plenty of aeration otherwise?

Yes, I have 2 airstones going as well. I will feed General Cure with Focus for 2 wks.

Before dosing the big qt, I remembered that I had used Prime 2 weeks ago in it. This would be a problem with the Furan2 according to my reading. (Seachem web site says prime ok with kana and metro powders.)
I have done at least 2 large water changes since using the Prime.

I have dosed big qt now with metro and kana. I am not sure if I should use the Furan2 due to any Prime leftover from 2 water changes ago. ???

Urgent Help Please!

Finished 11 days trifecta in large qt with all fish. Fish fed general cure with focus 12 days straight. No major visual problems. All eating.
I had to go out of town for 4 days.
Had non experienced persons feed non medicated foods. And had them begin furan2 treatment (just to be safe) on day 2 of my trip.
Come home to late to see qt last night.
This morning yellow coris is signaling for help. Netted it and see this.
