Question about my 2.5 year old reef tank, 65 gallon. I have been out of town for 6-8 weeks with literally spending a night at home then back out of town. My corals have been thriving and my RBA split two more times during the short span.

All fish are still doing great, maroon lighting clown is loving his new “vacation” homes.

Question time: I am having some hair algae around the cords on wave makers and also some bubble algae on wave makers which I can manually remove. Would you suggest just manually removing it all, testing of course and waiting or treating/add crew now?

I recently had some issues with hair algae. It was a minor situation, so I just manually removed the big areas of it, and CUC took care of the rest.

The corals are looking awesome, by the way. :)

Reef tanks do take much consistent care unless someone else is doing it
