My trident NP keeps saying PO4 0.03 or 0.04 never changes. My Hanna checker says 0.196 ppm. Any advice on how to make the NP measure similar to the Hanna checker? I know some people are saying they have an issue with the NP measuring like 1.96 like the decimal are moved.

Mine has never tested right, many others report same as well and no way to manually calibrate the thing.

I'm the opposite of you Hanna says PO4 .03-.05 consistently trident always .13-.14 Mine started at .240 then slowly went down by .01 per day until it now just sits at .13-.14

The thing was a waste of money. If hydros mavin works as advertised when it comes out I will be saying goodbye to the Neptune ecosystem after this last turd of a device as a rush to market money grab by them.

Nope, looks like support just asks a bunch of questions and takes a couple weeks to respond and has no real solutions yet. It appears the nitrates are testing pretty consistent, however the phosphates are still the problem. These are my tests today, still disappointing... I also made sure to use a magnetic stirrer for the exact amount of time on the instructions and perfectly measured exactly 10 ml using a syringe and used a brand new hanna checker with brand new reagents, and tested 3 times with the hanna and all came back within .01 of each other so I know my hanna testing is not the problem. A buddy of mine has a reef factory phosphate tester and he's having the same problems... confirmed correctly with both hanna and reef factory and the NP is way off on the phosphates.

I opened a support ticket today with Neptune Systems, as my Trident NP since installation a couple weeks ago has *consistently* reported very high PO4 levels in the 0.46 to 0.50 range. Meanwhile, my Hannah ULR reports 0.03. I have performed a calibration, including priming the sample line before the calibration. It appears the PO4 functionality of the Trident NP simply doesn't work.

I went through the support hoops. They blamed my Hanna. I returned my NP to BRS for a full refund. Including reagents. My standard Trident is dead accurate. But the Trident NP was junk.

My Trident NP has slowly started to get dead on accurate with my PO4 Hanna tester. I’m not sure if it needs all the data from tests over time or if they’re making meaningful firmware updates. Either way, I’m getting much happier with the device’s outputs.

Having the same issue since changing my reagents.
I just started my 2nd set of reagents and my PO4 now started matching my Hanna immediately.
Went from .14 PO4 with first set to .05 PO4 with reagent change, No calibration, they are also the exact same lot # as the first set of bottles.... so who knows??

Nitrate has been pretty spot on the entire time.

Quick update here. The problem was determined to be faulty reagents. I replaced the regents, and the PO4 readings on the Trident NP now match my Hanna. Neptune Systems sent me a replacement set of reagents at their cost.

Looks like I'm seeing results similar to other users of the new NP. Nitrates seem to be pretty spot on, but Phosphates are reading zero (started at 0.05) when they're higher. Hanna has been reading 0.07 to 0.10 over the same period.

Here's the NP as of today

Hanna checkers today;
P: 0.10
N: 15.6

I guess I'll open a ticket and see if I got a bad batch of reagents.

I've been getting readings of .01 and .02, which has been consistently about .05 less than my Hanna checker. I've been logging both in my apex app to show support.

Mine might just need to be calibrated. Hope they ship an update soon that allows us to calibrate with tank readings.

I tested phosphate 3 times on the hanna and they all said 0. Neptune support said that the engineers expected 0 for a reading.

I've sent all my info and the requested files to support this week. Waiting on a response. Nitrates continue to be pretty spot on, but it won't read PO4 above 0.01. Yesterday my Hanna read 0.10 by comparison. Hopefully just a bad batch of reagents, but as expensive as they are Apex needs to replace bad batches more quickly.
