Hello I was lucky to get Trident NP
After doing the installation and run couple of test, I am getting bad NO3 range and the PO4 higher than the Hanna chacker by a lot. Any idea how to solve this? I don't know if I should calibrate it or wait 48 hours to do so.

Hanna checker
NO3=19.2 ppm
PO4=0.04

Trident NP
NO3= Bad Range
PO4=0.19ppm

Don’t calibrate it, there is an update on the way. Try doing a factory reset. Mines habitually measuring phosphate as 0.04-0.05 where cross testing shows at least a .1-0.08 difference.

I have removed the filter on the intake line and the Phosphate now reads 0.07 but The Nitrate is out of range.
I dont even have the filter intake on mine phosphate reads 0.25 while hanna reads 0.15 i dont understand nitrate is dead on like hanna

I had the same issues. Never recorded a nitrate test (bad range every time) and phosphates were all over the place. My NP also took 90 minutes to run the tests which seems crazy to me.

Opened a ticket, waited 2 weeks, followed up and nothing from Neptune. I sent mine back to BRS.

I am about to do the same if I do not get it fixed in the next 2 days. Mine is taking the same amount of time too.

My tank is dialed in and can handle a reasonable increase in nitrates. So I dosed them just to get the NP to pick it up. Still the error code - failed to run or whatever it is. I can get on board with the numbers being “wrong” but the delta has to be “right.”

I’m not paying $800 to beta test. If that flips around, I’m in.

Deep down I knew not to trust Neptune's typically shoddy playschool design and build quality... but I got excited and bought one anyway.

BAD NO3 RANGE

Why did I do this to myself!? lol

I have 5 units…very convenient in theory but the failure rate is terrible … same issue here :confounded-face:

Hanna checker from same place where Trident NP sample line is reads consistently at 1.9 to 2. While Trident NP reads at 5.3

About to smack myself to have paid to become a beta tester.

Wow.
I was just thinking about buying myself a new model in the hope that I would get more functions in one body...

You seriously bought 5 NP units? Wow. How many units are running correctly on both Nitrate and Phosphates?
I went back and read that, I need to clarify: I have 5 units total but only 2 are NP ….just a side note ALL THREE regular units have failed at one time or another, and/or have been sent in for a refurb (one even failed shortly after a factory refurb) …
Hardly a stellar reliability rate…so Im sorta a sucker for even trusting these units at $700 per….
Problem is Im away from home a lot and with three tanks I almost have to have them, unreliable or not …
the units “seem” to be working after an update…

So the 2 NP is working as well?

I think the original Tridents are awesome. I'm not sure about the NP's because there seems to be a few issues on these units, and not too many people have success.
