I tried a refugium for a while but found it much easier to use an algae reactor for the same purposes

I thought the idea of a refugium was to not have fish so that your pod population could have a place to thrive.

I just wish the Refugium was easier to clean, mine typically is a mess to deal with.

Last time I had one the bubble algae and hair algae out grew the macro algae and was not fun to deal with.

I started an in-tank refugium with Pom Pom Gracillaria (sp?) and it ended up being an Aiptasia farm instead.
