I foind it interesting that the goal of a clean tank a decade ago was a leading factor on these fish not handling captivity well. Even the captive bread struggled at first.

Great information! I've been holding off on adding a Red Dragonette until the tank is more mature.
Very entertaining presentation. It's nice to see the progression in captive raising of 'difficult' species like the dragonettes.

One of my ultimate goal fish to have one day too. But my tank has a long way to go before it’s mature enough. This video really helps me to understand when that would be. Since I’m from the California 70’s era, I’m going with a Psychedelic Mandarin!
