Few pics of the new build and transfer. Flow goes under rocks with just a bit going over. Still waiting in some plumbing and skimmer but figured I'd share the aqua scape. It's built in open caves and legs on bottom. Pics really don't show it but it is all large opening underneath.

I always like to do multiple arches stacked on top of each other. The best rock is pukani but you can no longer buy it from brs or online so good luck finding any.

You will never be fully happy with your own aquascape, especially once you start adding coral already attached to rocks and things like that. Your in home reef is forever changing

@samnaz Sorry for the delayed response.....

When I did my scape I used liferock. The risers were "bridges" that they sell or arches. I just have them set up higher and connected to other rock in the center. Then ON top I inverted the bridges to give a few ledges

I have seen another guy use Aquaforest Stone Fix and make his own with that using an ice cube tray I'm leaning in that direction.

Just playing around with some rock I received from a friend. This will be going in a reefer 170. It’s only about 9-10 inches tall, so only half of the height of the tank water level.

Not sure if I should try to have it go higher? No idea if this would be good for coral placement but has lots of places for fish to hide/swim around

Any tips/suggestions? Should I try to increase the height but if I do it may not look as natural..?

IMG_2778.JPG I like it I'm not sure if it's good for coral placement that would be a question for somebody that's got more experience than me I am including a picture of what I have that I guarantee is not good for oral placement because I have tried that's why am getting rid of it. You look at the rock face on the left-hand side great rocks great care is probably good for a bigger aquarium but I can't do anything with that even from above it goes inward where I can't really see that.

Many ways to scape. We must consider height, length and depth when doing such scaping.
As my new tank is 4ft deep, I will be focusing on centering everything in this tank staying away from all glass

I hate coraline. Purple/pink rocks make corals of the same coral blend in.

Approaching seven years old and still one of my favorite threads here. I refer new reefers to it frequently as they are designing their tanks.
