If you know me, you know how much I adore Anemones! There are many different species with many different color variations. However, they can be fickle creatures. From wandering all over the tank to eating wandering crabs (don't ask me how I know this), they will certainly keep you on your toes! But if you want to add magnificent color and movement to your tank, look no further.

I have many anemones but don't want any. They sometimes come in as tiny juviniles and multiply by splitting and eventually can take over. (No, I am not talking about mojano's)
I never feed them or they get huge

Had a couple. First one was a LTA. It was fine until it decided to stroll into the MP40. Luckily I was home and just happen to pass by to act before it crashed the tank.

Then I got a RBTA. I walked around the tank stinging my corals. It split a couple of times. I finally removed them because of the coral.

Planning on setting up an anemone / clown tank in my 42g display when I transfer from it soon. No corals to worry about there. Trying to decide on BTA again or to ritteri.

I like my rock flowers

I used to love my haddoni when it was the center piece for 9 months. Now that it's moved behind the rocks I'm not too fond of it.

This is my last bubble tip in a display. Its here just because I needed the rock and didn't feel like removing it. It's actually starting to look pretty nice so I'll leave it for now.

All other bubble tips were banished to my stock tank when I moved everything out of my 180. Other than the tank with the haddoni and bubble tip rock flowers are the only nems I'll keep in a display with coral. I've kept bubble tips since starting the hobby and have just had enough of them. If I were to keep them in a DT again it would be a nem and clown fish tank.

Maybe your haddoni will move back to the front of the tank, haha.

How long has it been there? Its a great idea if it works long term.
Couple years, but then a couple weeks ago it walked off. I think because I changed the flow in the tank.
I put it back on and moved it to the overflow panel. Been put.

had a beautiful CSBBTA from @Thirstysreef for like 2+ years. over time it got stuck in my wave pump twice, to which it was able to recover. but a few months ago it went on a joy ride again while i was at work, and went head first into my jebao gyre. by the time i got home and removed it from the gyre it was mostly mush. withered away within a day.

will i ever own one again? absolutely. its going to stay in an anemone box, though. which will suck to clean every 2-3 days :(

I had a great looking green haddoni carpet anemone that I got rid of last week to a local hobbyist. It didnt kill anything yet but it was getting big and I wanted it out. I inherited it from the guy i got my tank from.

He is a great seller- I think he took some money off some coral for it because I got a sunkist bounce, 2 zoa frags with generous heads, a head of frogspawn, a huge monti cap for 75.

Getting that thing off the sand bed was pure torture. I thought it wouldnt survive because I had to get aggressive with it to get it off the glass bottom. Apparently it is doing well in his tank.
