Next question is. I have all but the Timor, the leopard, and the orange spot goby. All hiding in the sand. Now the tank is so murky I can’t see anything. What should I do?

AKA Should I be worried about kicking up the sand too much?
What I do is drain the tank all the way to just an inch or two of water and then begin sifting through the sand, they’ll appear at some point.

The mangrove is a bit too short to go in the main tank. Might put it in the other tanks sump.
As for the GSP look how massive it is! That’s my whole arm and I’m 6,2
Also found some giant bristle worms!

Maybe I should keep the GSP as it covers up the gross reality of my actual arm. Poison ivy is a PITA

So after a chaotic day I think it’s time to do a big update post.

The fish:
The fish are doing great. All look very happy in the new tank. I do have one concern and that is the royal gramma. It suddenly lost its tail a month ago and now it appears to have another injury. No idea what is bullying it and I don’t see what could have done that to it? Bite off the whole tail??

The corals:
This is my big mess up. I lost a lot of corals over the last few months. I originally thought it was due to coral eating asterinas but unfortunately I now thinks it’s down to low magnesium. I didn’t test like I should and though I was dosing it I obviously was t dosing nearly enough. Probably a big issue with Kalkwasser and I have decided to switch to AFR.

Algae:
Another issue is an outbreak of hair algae. This is again my fault as I had not boosted CUC in far too long. I have bought a small variety recently and plan on getting more soon but definitely a failing of mine. I tried to scrub off as much I could during the transfer but there is only so much I could do.

Equipment:
Still need a skimmer and my lights are very very blue right now. Need a freshwater blade or to find a way to use my primes on this tank.

Well unfortunately a bacterial infection got my plating monti and it has now spread to the cats paw next to it. Two of my oldest corals.
I’m trying high flow and fragging but it’s not looking good.

On the other hand, most of my other corals are doing well. My acroporas look the healthiest they have ever been, my red branching monti is looking fantastic, and my bubblegum torch is also looking great. As are my two high-end micromussas. I know I have to expect some losses in a big move, and the bacterial infection started last week before the move. I just wish I knew why it started.

A week ago that plate had no skeleton showing and 2 days ago that cats paw had none showing :crying-face:

I have ordered the fish:
One hooded flame fairy wrasse, C efatensis
One filamented flasher wrasse, P filamentosus
And for the other tank, one flame angel

I was going to get the black leopards because that would have taken me over the $500 that gets free shipping, but unfortunately, the contest money negates that, so I would have had to spend $750 to get free shipping, which is more than I was prepared to do.

And I bought a skimmer.
My poor bank account…
