Yes. I love loud noises. But I don’t find my sun conure loud. He’s really quiet, actually. He doesn’t use his calling voice.

I literally just visited a macaw at a pet shop. I bought a macaw cage. I really want this blue and gold, but I’m still thinking it through.
Don’t hesitate! Do it my favorite parrot.

Also you say you’ve taken over my thread but yet I have yet to see this thread in the trending 10. I’m going to assume it’s an algorithm failure.

Also you know what you call an algorithm that almost works but just doesn’t quite succeed?

We have obviously done something wrong

So we should probably correct it

I had an underwater fluval light for a while but got bored with it.
I could see a benefit of being able to get light to areas that normally wouldn’t get it

Why did you get bored?

Oof. Are all reefers enablers? :grinning-squinting-face:

The store told me not to feed the macaw because it bites. I brought walnuts and pellets, and I made a lot of progress with him in just a few minutes. I got him to come out of his cage.

He’s terrified of perches. Looks like someone used it in a negative way. Probably because they were scared of getting bitten.

I want the bird because I want the challenge of a big parrot with a dangerous beak. I want to challenge of taming it. I’m actually really good at taking parrots. I tamed flea market cockatiels which were basically wild.

Still thinking it through? You already bought the cage and have the bird picked out... :thinking-face:
Yes. I’m still thinking. :p

I got the cage because it was relatively new on Craigslist. I drive 2.7 hours just to pick it up this past Sunday.

Total 6 hour drive lol. The cage is massive.

That's a good 65+ year relationship! I still find it incredible that my Senegal has the intelligence of a 2 year old, the personality of a 2 year old, oh and stays that way for 35 years.

Blue and Golds are prettier to me!

This is the guy. He looks a bit smaller than average, but I think he likes me and I like his size. He gave me a happy look when I went back to the store to snap a photo.

I could totally be misreading the situation and be anthropomorphizing. Maybe the bird isn’t calling me to be his forever lover.
