To me the numbers look fine. Do your corals seem happy? None of your corals except the mille are the fussy types.
Yeah. I think I need to make a more normal schedule though maybe? Seems like the flat topped hedgehog is most people’s schedule of choice?

Sometime down the line I’d love a cool light in place of the fluval (come on contest!) but for now I’m happy

Can you program the AI Blades for a Saxby style schedule? I downloaded a Saxby-style schedule on an AI Prime that ran an AB+ spectrum instead of the heavy blue Saxby spectrum. You'll probably have to go over 100% at the peaks though to maintain enough PAR throughout the day.

The Fluval lights are pretty trash for PAR but make exceptional accent lights! I think that the chips have a 135 degree spread, so it illuminates the entire tank almost like T5s, as you well know.

I couldn’t figure out how to download a preset program so I did this:

Notice fluvals novel use of a labeled Y axis. AI would fail math class.

But though it doesn’t look it the AI is waving between 80-100%. There is a slow ramp up from 8:30-12:00 to allow me to feed the fish early.

Also fluval does come with presets unlike AI. And though I agree with you @JoJosReef that they aren’t as strong as Blades the marine lights do come with a better range of LEDs and at half the cost I think are the better value if you are willi by to double up.

Their problem is that each of their tiny LEDs is only 0.25watts. There are many of them, but contrast that with Ophek's older gen 3W LEDs, then 5W and now 6W LEDs. That translates to better PAR penetration down to the sand bed--I don't know the math behind this. Light is light, so it should travel equally well, right? But it would appear that the spread and low wattage of the Fluvals make the PAR go down rapidly. I tested this in Photone app a long time ago between Fluval Marine 3.0 vs. 21ledUSSA ReefPro bars. Fluvals have the best looking light blending, though, so I would probably get them for a FOWLR tank just so my fish would look amazing. Or like you have it, between two very strong lights.

I can't remember how to download AI schedules, but I remember getting an AB+ spectrum from an R2R link to a facebook group on AI Primes. I wonder if there is a similar group now for the blades.

@JoJosReef When you say "Life may be scary, but it's just temporary." What is temporary? Life being scary or life?
Obscure reference for the highly cultured with an immature sense of humor.

I was just looking at that thread. Love boxfish and cow fish. They tend to get stressed in a reef though

Totally something I would have done in that thread

PEDANTRY crams our heads with learned lumber, and takes out our brains to make room for it.

Pretty sure that sums up my brain ….

I like digging into the entomology behind words - can be interesting….

Obsolete meanings can be more entertaining

Pendant was first used sometime in the 1580s and pedantic came in the early 1600…..

It’s in our nature as pedantic people to take all the information crammed into our brains and spit it back out whenever the opportunity arises otherwise how else will we teach the masses??

Many of the creatures we stick in our glass boxes would rather be in the ocean

I dunno... When I was in Hawaii, those Achilles Tangs sure acted like they wanted to come home with me. I figured they thought aquarium life best getting eaten by a sea turtle...

I have to admit testing my par today I felt pretty guilty as all my fish and especially my Foxface freaked out.
