That should all work fine though can you share the tank size?

Is your "friend" @Island Goby ? It's ok. It's a safe place here and we are all wrassaddicts.

China wrasse (Anampses neoguinaicus) seems to play nice. More important would be if your tank is large enough for the neoguinaicus. I haven't yet tried mixing leopards, although I'm planning to add a black leopard with my blue star female in the near future. My understanding is that they tend to remain peaceful but conflict is possible. What leopard were you looking at?

He has a 125g...appreciate the additional links for my own research...I had started reading through one of the threads and discovered a lot for my own future stocking - just finished cycling my 225g...much appreciation once again

Crazy pintail jumped out of the evo while I was feeding frozen. Super happy chomping away, then just drifted over to the corner and SPLASH! Of course, being right there I just gave him the stink eye and then scooped him up and plopped him back in. Bat guano crazy wrasses!

Good you were there. I’m rarely so lucky with the exception of my spiny fox.

The screen lid on the Evo is good. It was a Kraken reef lid. Only way that fish is getting out is while I'm feeding or cleaning.

Edit: knock on driftwood

Tequila startled the firefish out of his cave a couple of days ago. It went straight through the mesh hit the light and then wiggled it's way back through the mesh to go hide again. It agrees with you about pintails being crazy

Any ideas on how to get my Splendid Pencil Wrasse to progress from just eating frozen mysis to eating other food? I'd particularly like him to be able to eat TDO pellets and ROE. He'll occasionally pick an ROE out of the water column but mostly ignores anything but frozen (not freeze dried) mysis and also pods.

The pintail in the observation tank with him eats everything, it seems. But that's not rubbing off on the pencil wrasse.

I know it’s gone a bit out of practice but have you tried garlic?

Why is garlic out of practice??? Oh great, I need to find the newest trend... I still do garlic so am I out of date? If I'm out of date does that basically mean I'm expired?

I have Seachem Garlic Guard that I've tried with NLS and TDO pellets. I think I tried it with freeze dried mysis. Still nothing. That was a few weeks ago--I can try it again.
