Here are today's additions to the Galaxy WrasseI was bored so I did this…
I want to rename this wrasse: the galaxy wrasse!
This is my Coris gaimard, or that’s the boring scientific name presumably named after some self-important scientist. Its common name in the hobby is the red coris wrasse, though outside of the hobby, it is often called the African or yellowtail coris wrasse. Here is my old juvenile: Here is...www.reef2reef.com
Goal is for a google search of “galaxy wrasse” to present a photo of Coris gaimard
This first photo showing that you have great taste is wrasse! Here are today's additions to the Galaxy Wrasse
Red is my largest wrasse by far, easily 5 inches long but still showing some juvenile coloring.

Hard to tell. Is that a juvenile earl’s?Saw this little gal at my LFS today. Manager said they had a male as well and they were selling them as a pair but the male wasn't doing well so they put him in a tank in the back. A little rich for my blood at the moment though.
Hard to tell. Is that a juvenile earl’s?
Looks like a female Halichoeres Melanurus?
New friend…
Not sure what kind of wrasse she is though!
Most likely Melanurus but could also be richmondi or leucurus.

I thought she was a melanurus at the store and the guy said no but honestly I still think she might be. Will have to wait until she gets a bit older to truly know!Looks like a female Halichoeres Melanurus?
