Well here they are! I can't claim the maori is all that pretty yet but it should grow into one. The Cirrhilabrus rubeus (I believe rather then rubriventralis?) is probably my favorite fairy that I've been looking for for months. It is being harassed by the exquisite so won't be allowed to leave acclimation for a while (you can see the exquisite in the last shot flashing the box).

I think my LFS has like ten of them! Both wrasse were $35 too. I really shouldn’t shop anywhere else.
I've been looking for C. rubeus for a long time. Have one at LA right now, but I'd rather get a small female. Maybe they're in season!

Few weeks ago I asked reef exclusive if he has a bells and melagris I would take them. He said no but told him I’ll take a bells of you can get them. He gave me a good price shipped on a bells so I got it. Box came today and I had a bells and meleagris. Message him and said you shipped a mileage is by mistake. Nope he just took care of me and wow what a great price for two fish. Unfortunately meleageis was doa. Reef exclusive said he will make good on it when I’m ready. Sorry @OrchidMiss I’ll get you a leopard when we finish all the other things on your tanks and will get all fish you want then.

Second time dealing with reef exclusive and he goes above and beyond. We may have a new player with good fish. Now it’s time to go home and check on bells

Exactly!!:D
Second order he hooked me up. 500 bones for bells and meleagris. For me that was way high but shipping and packaging and well we aren’t friends so it seemed great. Fish looked good. Meleagris was thinner but he just got them and and shipped them. Most wholesalers and collections fish like that won’t eat so it’s norm and I won’t say had anything to do with it doa. Reef pro holds fish and they come dead with sunken belly’s but yet they say fish eats lol

Sarcasm guys. I would never buy one of those coral chomping beasts. I think I will contact him about the size of the ventralis though.

So the rubeus escaped twice and I let it be on the second occasion. Luckily I was mostly wrong with the exquisite who seems more focused on the lunatus. It was given the run around by the midas and royal gramma as all new fish are but neither showed real murderous intent. I have now ordered a real acclimation box that looks really good so hopefully no more escapes.

Amazing fish. Love the brilliant red, contrast with the white, the teal line and of course the long fins!
