My husband says it's true about my Native American lineage...I still like shiny beads and fire water. I guess you can't escape your DNA.
Respect for nature and animals too

Good morning.

It looks like the beta is responding favorably with the move to the living room, the addition of tank mates and live plants.

So many questions. You can have them in a regular tank?

Good morning! I hope everyone’s weather is better than ours. It is definitely an indoor kind of day:p

Looks like a wet day for sure. Cristobal is going in on the other side of the state from us, but we still have 60-80% chance of rain today and tomorrow.

He’s a hawk fish..they march to the beat of their own drum. At the moment, his drum is surveying his domain...

When I put the lens against the glass it's like it knows where I am aiming and perches nearby! :)
Mine does the same. I look through the view finder and suddenly there’s this huge red& black face looking right back at me:)

So many questions. You can have them in a regular tank?

I have this one in a 5 gallon basic aqueon.

this is the filter, if I load it with carbon and bio balls the flow slows down for a beta.

The lights

I also have a 25watt thermostat controlled heater with a WillHi temp controller back up.

The plants are java fern, african java fern and massimo moss ball. I plan on getting some java moss to create a tiny "hedge" around the pagoda and an annubias for large leaves on which the the betta can rest.

The tank has 2 cherry shrimp (I want to up that to 4, two snails of unknown type from petco, 2 corys and 5 neon tetras.

The driftwood is supposed to add some tannins,. but I am not doing much on that front.

FTS from a few days ago. I cut up the moss ball and glues the pieces to that "tree" in the back right corner since taking the pic.
