As a former resident of SOCAL when the smog was ridiculously bad (late 60s early 70s), this is actually true. I lived in Riverside and there was a large mountain (Big Bear) that was a dominant feature of the clear day landscape. Some days you could not see it at all through the smog.When the smog lifts in California … UCLA.
Yeah we keep bees so we are aware of the "Murder Hornet" and hope not to have them visit our hive. We lost three hives this season. 2 in the fall and one did not survive the winter. Bummer! We had to buy a new queen for the last hive cause it was down to a few hundred bees. Normal hive have 20,000 plus bees.If the US doesn't have enough to worry about. We now have the Asian Giant Horrent in Washington st and in Canada.
