Getting things done before I have to put my nose to the grindstone. Weekly water change done. I made a little frag mount for my zoas to get them off the sand bed this morning. In my pile I had some egg crate, heater suction cups and zip ties.

FTS. The road to recovery for this tank is moving along. Still scared to death of the dinos and removing anything remotely looking like them.

Here is where we are today. Mixed feeling, hard to think back to when it was full of life, colors and shapes, even harder to look at the pics when the dinos smothered everything and the tear down to just glass and fish.

If it were easy, it wouldn't be as rewarding.

Food trucks, yes. You don't want a bounce house or clowns with this bunch!

I do have a 14ft x 14ft inflatable bouncing pad...

Difficult to get shipments. We got scratched on 80% of our order that came in Wednesday. Dry goods are ok just take over a week and the second biggest supplier in the country just doubled their minimum and took out free route delivery. Which makes it neary retail because they palletize everything

This was the bummer about shipping the Miracle tank, Derek was talking about trailers sitting for days waiting to be filled before shipping. Larger freight has been hit hard as small businesses and distributors shut down or run on minimal staff.

Good morning everyone. I say “good” because I was blessed enough to wake up. With everything going on in the world I forget this fact. I read in the news about the uproar over NY’s “do not resuscitate” order because of covid-19. Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine people being left to die, because of limited resources. That’s something you would read in a dystopian novel. It’s been revoked, but the fact it was even considered....

I’m sorry @dantimdad. I went to my LFS last week and was floored how empty his tanks were. The company that he gets his fish from had to cancel his order the day he was supposed to get it.

I’m sorry about Woodstock @Katrina71:( I’m glad the miracle will be her soon.

A thought came to me while I was writing this (I know, this scares me too). The “miracle” tank is a miracle to more than just @Katrina71..at least to me. I met (well, sort of) all you wonderful people and that, in and of it so self, brings a smile to my face everyday. This thread is more than just about a tank. It’s a support system for strangers, who became friends and now “family”. Believe it or not @Katrina71, you set this in motion, March 2017. Thank you!!:)

I originally intended to make a joke about mornings and coffee. I tend to get distracted...

What do you think @Katrina? Decaf or DarkRoast? ;) Have a great day everyone. Stay safe!
I have to admit I've been drinking more coffee since this virus stuff went down.

I had a battle with those danged dinos. So sorry to hear that you had to reset. How are your blue-green chromis getting along with the clown? I am thinking about swapping out my pajama cardinals for chromis

Ok guys I’m really starting to worry. How much will t5s change my temp in my tank. Keep in mind I’m in south Florida though

my house stays at 75 and my 10g tanks always at 78-79 with the heater off and an ai prime hd. Any info would be appreciated before I go buy a fixture. I’ve found a ton of answers but they all seem biased

edit. I found 36” ati 8 bulb.17” wide
My tank is 18” wide. I’m fine with slight spill over but I don’t want to have it way up high to make up for temp.

This depends on how high up you set them. I suggest 18" off the tank... It's T5's, so you don't have the problem of light penetration that you have with LEDs.

I thought you already bought an ATI fixture ridiculously cheap...

Anyways, ATIs have fans in 'em, so expect them to be temperature neutral or +1-3 degrees, Well within coral tolerances.

I’m just worried about how hot it gets. I’m worried the 8bulb will be too big to mount 18” off the tank

I’m so indecisive lol

The chromis and clowns have been in the tank for 5 years. So long as the clowns decide they want a nem or a powerhead to host them, and the chromis have nook and crannies that can call their own, they are fine. I liked my PJs better than chromis. I started with 4 Chromis. These two have been around for 5 years- but the larger one certainly harasses the small one. The same thing happened with the PJs when I had them. larger one chased the others.

PJs are funky with the dots and like to hang at the top during the day. The chromis are more active and in groups in a large tank school about. But word is you eventually end up with one

Ok ok. Brs will make my decision today @4
If I do end up getting lucky I have an ai prime in my cart. If not t5s it is
So your going to let another pilot make your decision for you...sound like a co-pilot not PIC.;Blackeye

I can't wait to get my T5 setup with that 120.
Been wanting to try T5 since I started.
This Radion xr15 is great BUT it's all I've used on these tanks, I wanna try something different!
I really love the blanket coverage T5 gives when seeing other people's tanks.
My radion doesn't give that.
Love the radion though, it'll go on the office tank, maybe I'll throw a coral or two in that tank??
