I would add them at the same time... neither one will have claimed the tank as theirs, so they should get along.
The same time might be difficult to arrange. Obviously, that would be optimal. Also considering a baby angel would most likely not be seen as a threat.

I think we are going to adopt the purple tang with hlle. If that doesn't work out, then yes!
i will be back in town tomorrow and will be picking up the purple. From there we will know what is what with the hlle and how bad it is. Supposedly the fish eats a ton, but the tank has been seriously neglected and a maroon clown is the main issue with beating everything up in the tank. Purple tang, maroon and sailfin are all that is left in there. The sailfin has it also, so will try to help that guy as well. If it makes it, it’s going in the 220.

@Eagle_Steve can you post pics? I'm anticipating the worst.
I will once I go see the fishes. Have not seen any pics yet myself. The tank belonged to a retiree that has passed and his wife has been trying to take care of it, but just can’t keep up with it all. My weekend will consist of tearing the whole thing down, so her kids can help her move. Crappy situation for sure.

One of my worst fears right there. I’m hoping it’s not as bad as you are anticipating. What’s the plan on the maroon?

Her son is a good friend of mine and he says she has scrubbed the front glass and that is it. It is a simple 150 long tank that was fish and very simple corals only.

As for the maroon, it is going to go into the aggressive tank (my sons). He wants a maroon and she is large enough to deal with puffers, oyster toadfish and the like.

I’ve thought of an auto feeder myself. But I fear over feeding with them.
I had thought the same, but they arent that bad and adjust down really well. I'm feeding really small coral pellets out of one and I was surprised how it feeds.
