In short, it is a build thread that we also talk about everything else. The OP has not been active due to some RL stuff, so we keep it alive and await for her return, as she is one of the most awesome and helpful people this site has ever seen.newbie here, what is this thread? :O

I was halfway done doing this when i discovered him hiding in the salinity checker I keep stashed in the fuge. guess he decided to give me a break after disappearing, reappearing in the fuge, and evading my every rescue effort til now. he's back with his shrimp buddy now! thanks so much for the adviceI have fished out a firefish.
Turned off pumps, used a hose and started a siphon to a bucket. Firefish is still kicking.
Now that is an unconventional fish trap. I may have to steal that as an idea for one for small fish. Put in tank, leave there a bit and feed into it. Maybe be able to catch small ones easier that way.I was halfway done doing this when i discovered him hiding in the salinity checker I keep stashed in the fuge. guess he decided to give me a break after disappearing, reappearing in the fuge, and evading my every rescue effort til now. he's back with his shrimp buddy now! thanks so much for the advice
I got lucky and plugged the holes right before he jumped out. might still work if you plug one hole and orient it so the other hole is flush with the substrate with a treat inside? but i'm pretty sure I just got absurdly lucky and this is impossible to reproduce LOLNow that is an unconventional fish trap.
