It's 150q what it was last time I tested, which is whenever the last picture on this thread was. But mostly that alk.

I have mostly LPS …. I have seen a ton of new growth but dosing to keep it stable now … have been using AFR for a week and it’s giving promising results
Was dosing bionics but then I ran out and couldn't get to the store. So I just left it.

Two doses of my new diy alkalinity didn't move the needle one bit. Still at 6 dkh after the water change. I think rather than not dosing enough, it was that I saw it immediately percipitate. How do I stop that?
Getting up there to my preferred number ! One more 5ML dose and then I’m down to my regular dose
I may be wrong on this but I think pre is happens when you reach a level where the water can't accept any more based on the level of other elements (I think calcium) and that causes it to bond with that element and precip out. Please don't take this as advice. I "think" this is what happens definately wait for the others to chime in. I would like to know as well. I can't get my alk to stay above 7.
Thanks for weighing in. That was my thought too, and since calc was 480 when I tested the other day it is the likely option. Figured I'd ask those with more diy experience than me.
I also think this is a reason , how much are you adding at a time ? AFR for me says I can’t exceed 18ml a day
I added 30 ml. It's about 1 ml per gallon right? So I could theoretically dose 100 ml. I wanted to see what the change was so I tested within hours of dosing yesterday. I can try it again today too.
can you try splitting the doses ? Like 10 in the morning 10 at noon and 10 at night ?
i could. 15 and 15 are more likely but I can give it a shot.
