How are you fishstyx? Starting to rain here...
I'm good. A little tied up. It's my brother in-law's birthday, so we're doing dinner. Beautiful weather here today though. Also got good news at The Dainty Dictator's doctor's appointment today, so all in all, not too shabby.

Hey crusso what you up to in FL
It’s a long story, Sal, as most of mine turn into. To suffice: still dealing with insurance company after five months. It’s looking like attorneys are going to have to be involved. I really prefer to never go this route because I’m not a “lawyer up” kind of guy, as evidenced by five months of dealing with this, but I’ve exhausted all other options. Work has not been the same since the hurricane and it’s having a negative affect. In happy news, we added a couple of kittens to our famiglia a couple weeks ago which I posted pics of over in Frank’s Café. More happy news is that I’m considering getting SCUBA certified with my lady. However, she had brain cancer (still has it as they were unable to remove all of the tumor) and one of the things they said she could never do was SCUBA dive because of the pressure changes. We need to discuss this more with the doctor and inquire about not diving too deeply as pressure doesn’t really start to change until after 15 - 20 feet. We’ll see what they say.

Happy to hear things are finally progressing at your house and it sounds like job completion is very near!

Thank you, Tim! Sometimes we’re the hammer. Sometimes we’re the nail. As long as neither are used for building our coffins today then we’re all winners!

jeez whiz. that is a very dark saying you got there
Sometimes dark sayings hold a ton of truth though. It's a cool way of saying I'm still alive.

Good evening, all. I had a lot going on today, but managed to get a little more work done on the controller cabinet. The pockets for the hinges and holes for the passthrough bushings on the inset panel were bored out. I was getting started on the hinge pockets for the front door, but broke my dang pocket jig. Grrrr.... a new one is enroute and should be delivered tomorrow. Once those are done, it's ready for sand, paint, and assembly. Getting close to the finish line!

Oh, and to show the good with the bad...

When the hole saw punched through, it caused some flaking of varying severity on the backside of the ply. So, that had to be rough sanded and filled:

Working with ply can be a B! Looking good though! I've been using a Kreg Jig for my pocket hole type stuff, just learned about those arts of wood working recently. Prior, I was just man-who-stick-2x4s-together.
Nothing wrong with that!

Hey crusso, I hear ya on all that you said in prior post. Hope you girl gets better...Yep Florida has been tough for a few years. I drive out there alot to visit my dad in Jkville. I was there for 3 weeks not to long ago, tearing out a wood floor I put down like 15 years ago. When the storm came through he got flooded so I had to go rip it out and now put tile down. Driving from here to there there is still alot of damage I see from the katrina etc storms.
