I got an early start out in the workshop (aka garage) this morning. Trying to make up for lost time with the controller cabinet. I sanded (80 grit) and filled in all of the screw holes and imperfections in the cabinet and started assembling the door. As it would turn out, I was 3/8" too wide on the cross members for the door, so I had to trim them a bit. Not to worry! I repurposed a paint stirrer and fashioned two new tongues. Additionally, my router table is a death trap. Seriously: I'm surprised that I still have all of my fingers. Anyways, the tongues on the other side are slightly over 1/8" wide as opposed to 1/4", so I am using the same paint stick to make them wider. This way it will ensure a snug fit inside the grooves. Just waiting on the glue and filler to dry now. Here are some progress pics. More to follow later today.

Do you lack a random orbit sander?
Nope. I'll be using it to sand everything down once the filler dries. Gotta hit all of the edges and stuff too. I just used paper because there wasn't a lot to do yet.

they are pretty good here...It was getting the TJI and GLBs that took long. Got them about 2 months ago... Waited for price to come down. Mid last year was over 18K...

Hahahaha. No. Those are toe shoes. They are my garage "slippers".
I'll allow it. ;)

What I cant get over and I have never said anything, is the orange spray paint you got on your garage floor. If I was the dainty dictator, I would not be please with you.

Oh, there's orange, blue, white, gray... assorted glues and adhesives, lacquers, you name it. That's where I go to build stuff and work out. It should smell like feet, sweat, and sawdust. Besides, I converted one of the bedrooms into a giant walk in closet / dressing room for her. I think a littlle spray paint on the floor of the garage can slide.

The new tongues being clamped and glued into place, with a bonus close up of my shoe to prove to @rmorris_14 that I'm not working in socks

Okay, you asked for them, here they are! The orange lens, for note, is a game changer!! MOAR Pootie Monday!! I have to work on my photography skills. lol. I couldn't get one with her dorsal fin fully up. Her markings and yellow ccoloration is vibrant and stunning for a convict her age. She's also a chonker, so I tried to get a belly shot. Hahaha
